UK-Ghana Investment Roadshow Opens in London With £1.4 Billion Opportunity Pipeline

The UK Investment Roadshow 2026 has opened in London, bringing together investors, businesses and government representatives to advance trade and investment opportunities between the United Kingdom and Ghana.

Held under the theme “From Confidence to Capital: Unlocking the Next Wave of Growth through Strategic Investment,” the roadshow aims to turn investor interest into commercial deals, business partnerships and job creation under the UK-Ghana Growth Partnership.

The event builds on the Ghana-UK Investment Summit held in London in June and features investor meetings, business showcases and networking sessions focused on sectors considered important to Ghana’s industrialisation and economic growth.

More than £250 million in investment opportunities identified

The roadshow follows a UK-Ghana Trade and Investment Summit organised by the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce in September.

According to the organisers, the summit’s Deal Room and Investment Matchmaking Session generated investor interest in opportunities worth more than £250 million, from a broader investment pipeline exceeding £1.4 billion.

The opportunities cover several sectors, including:

  1. Agribusiness
  2. Pharmaceuticals and health technology
  3. Financial services
  4. Infrastructure
  5. The circular economy

Many of the projects are now being discussed with prospective investors and strategic partners.

The roadshow is intended to help move these discussions towards commercially viable agreements rather than leave them as expressions of interest.

Ghana showcases its investment potential

The programme features speakers including Claire Innes, Deputy Director of the Growth Directorate at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office; Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK; and Augustus Goosie Tanoh, Presidential Adviser on the 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme.

Business leaders, project sponsors and investment partners are also participating, giving investors an opportunity to engage with decision-makers and learn more about Ghana’s industrial transformation agenda.

British High Commissioner to Ghana Dr Christian Rogg said the roadshow was an opportunity to connect UK investors with credible business opportunities in Ghana.

“The UK Investment Roadshow is the Growth Partnership in action, connecting UK investors with credible opportunities in Ghana and building on our strong momentum to unlock investment, create jobs and turn shared ambition into practical economic opportunities for both countries,” he said.

Investment meetings to target practical deals

The roadshow is taking place alongside AFSIC – Investing in Africa, an Africa-focused investment event held outside the continent.

The programme includes an Investment Opportunities Roundtable hosted by British Expertise International, a Ghana Country Investment Session at AFSIC and a dedicated Ghana Investor Deal Room Day.

The deal room will allow investors to meet businesses, project sponsors and government representatives to discuss investment-ready projects and explore potential partnerships.

Adjoba Kyiamah, Executive Director of the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce, said the event would build on relationships established at earlier investment meetings and help advance discussions with investors interested in Africa.

She said the platform would showcase Ghana’s investment potential, support business-to-business connections and help progress commercially viable opportunities.

UK-Ghana partnership targets jobs and economic growth

The roadshow is being delivered by the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce and the UK Government’s Jobs and Economic Transformation (JET) programme in Ghana.

Its broader objective is to strengthen bilateral trade and investment by connecting businesses with investors and helping projects progress towards implementation.

For Ghana, the potential benefits will depend on how many opportunities translate into actual investments, operating businesses and employment.

Although the reported £250 million in investor interest and the wider £1.4 billion pipeline point to potential opportunities, the figures do not mean that these amounts have already been invested or that all the projects have secured financing.

The roadshow therefore represents another step in Ghana’s efforts to attract capital, deepen economic ties with the UK and turn investment discussions into tangible commercial outcomes.
